Cannot Enlarge Photos in Threads
I have noticed for awhile that when I'm looking through a thread and click on a photo to enlarge it, I just get a blank black screen. Once in a while, a photo will load, but not all. Is there a setting in my browser that I need to update? I use Google Chrome.

You are not alone.
A while back there was a major update to the site and the mods asked to advise in the event of snags.
Well with that update came my inability to properly view pics in posts so I asked about it.
They blew me off with some nonsense answer which did not even address the question. Total waste of time.
However, I have solved the problem. I right click on the image with my mouse and pick the choice which says open in a new tab. Voila! Instant large pic which can be enlarged, saved or whatever.

Thanks Rich,
Posting is not the problem. When I click on your thumbnail photos to enlarge them, I just get a blank black screen. Something is amiss here but do not know what.
I have also seen messages in place of photos that say to upgrade to view them (upgrade what?) but cannot find any information on that either.

The problem is not your browser, it did show the picture were posted. Like you if I wanted to a larger picture, I had to right click and open a new tab. For picture to show up as I just posted, you have to go to advanced.
NEW! I opened Chrome and I have the same problem you are having. I don't use Chrome has my primary browser, I use Opera, which works great. So Chrome is the problem.

The claims on how it works are not exactly correct in my case.
Your first pic of the DVII comes out severely distorted - stretched across the monitor width, about 1/2 inch high. However, the one just below it comes out fine.
If I log in, usually they all come out fine but not always. In this case, both your pix come out fine when logged in.
Does not matter which browser I use. So I automatically open them in a new window and never look back. Always works. besides, I have no way of knowing or influencing how the pics were originally posted.
The upgrade message is something I see as well. It's always been related to Photobucket. I've not explored that although I suspect that the poster has the pic stored there and has embedded a link to it. And if we don't have a paid for Photobucket account, we don't get to see it.

OK, So I had the same issue and seem to work through the blank pictures, but now I got a new iPhone 10 and my pictures, when posting, show up with the wrong orientation. either side ways or upside down. No matter how I file them. Never have the with previous iPhone. Can someone tell me how to make sure when posting pictures they end up in the correct orientation?
