Default Revo 3.3 tuning?

Hey there I just bought a revo 3.3 a few days ago and im starting to get the hang of this. . One question though: I've broken in the engine according to the manual and it worked perfectly. I've also tuned it and I do believe that it is working exactly like it's supposed to but my question is, is the Revo 3.3 supposed to wheelie during acceleration. The acceleration seems to be fast but is it fast enough. When I pull the trigger the rear of the car hugs the ground and the cars roars off. It doesn't wheelie. Also is it ok to run the car at around 280°F? In the manual it says it should not go above 270° but the car is not showing any symptoms of beeing too lean. It runs perfectly apart from the wheelie thing(I think). Thanks in advance.

Richen the HSN by 1/16 turns. Then the LSN. Take off and liten to the truck, if it idles high when u let off the throttle its to rich. If it just go straight back to normel idle its to lean.

That makes no sense what so ever. [:@] "Take off and liten the truck", what on God's green earth does that mean!?!? When I let all the way off my throttle I like it to go back to idle.............Thats what it is suppose to do. Learn to read over what you write before you post. You have posted worthless information like this MANY times in the past, its called spamming, spamming gets people banned.

hmmm...3.3 chassy is longer then 2.5......if you wanna do wheeliew...change the spur to 40t and the bell to 14t...move the rods to the outmost position and put heavy springs in the back..and tune the engine. 280 is fine...if that's the max you get

Thanks, for your answers. I also tightened the slipper clutch slighlty as I feel that my acceleration isn't quite good enough. Otherwise considering the fact that im a nitro noob all is going well with tuning. The slipper clutch was quite loose and according to traxxas its supposed to be 1/4 turn out from closed is this true? Will it be too tight?

yes....you should be able to turn (slip) it with your fingers when holding the shaft in the back.....the problem is...there is no sure answer on how tight it should be....if you want extra insurance that your tranny will be ok....make it a little loose.......for racing....especially on hard surface...tighten it up.

#1 The Revo will wheelie stock. Once you start driving you wil learn that a sharp turn and the n full throttle will have her wheeling alot!

#2 SG16/how am i spamming. And seeing how you nail me everytime i ever post, shut the f*** up. EVERY time i post you are the only one to b**** at me. Im sick of it. And think next time. liten. umm hit the thottle and liten to the engine. WOW you couldnt guess it was listen?

hmm....well....you can drive over something and nail the trottle...yes it will wheelie......but....here is how the real wheelie is......the truck is stopped......flat surface....nail the trottle...front wheels lift up......and revo 3.3 will NOT do that in stock setup no matter how you tune it.....what you CAN do...get revo 2.5 chassis (they are shorter) and mount the 3.3 engine....stiffen rear end....tune the hell out of it.....and IT WILL wheelie

hehe thanks for the info...but again...the point of this thread was not to find out what I should do in order to get the REVO to wheelie I simply wanted to know whether it does that once it's tuned and ready to go...hehe but thanks for all your tips...if I ever find the urge to wheelie I'll know what to do.

the revo 3.3 WILL wheelie when correctly tuned and the slipper clutch is tight. I can easily flip the truck over by hitting the gas from a stop.

those wheelies must have been with the suspension all topped out and the springs cranked down tight! not that there's anything wrong with that!

its been 10°C and sunny the last few days...hehe. After tightening the slipper clutch the car really does take off...wow im amazed still doesn't wheelie though but the rear suspension almost bottoms out when accelerating. Although I did brake one of the rear gears during a jump...strange maybe the slipper is a bit tight...it doesn't really matter because on monday im getting the center diff and rear brake.
