Traxxas.
I've had very bad luck with Blue Thunder.
My personal preference though is O'Donnells 20% - not the race version.

how can u have bad luck with a FUEL!!!!!!!!
I bought an unopened gallon from my LHS. Put it in my Savage. It lost power and ran like crap. Tuned like it had an air leak nand would not keep a tune for more than 10 minutes. After much searching, work, trial & error and a LOT of cursing, I tried the same fuel in my LST and two Revos of a friend. All four trucks did the exact same thing. When I switched to Traxxas Top Fuel every truck quit acting up and ran great. The LHS swapped me for a new gallon (not BT) and I have not had a problem since.

That's how.

I find that the O'Donnells runs more consistantly, a bit cooler and is less finiky about tuning. But that's just my opinion.

I have used Racers Edge, Byrons, Trinity Monster Horse Power, Traxxas Top Fuel, and Rocket Science. All 20% nitro.

The only one that sucked was the Rocket Science. Once I put Top Fuel in my Jato it came back to life.

They have all ran about the same, or at least not diffrent enough to notice, except that Rocket Science stuff. My god what a pain that was...

Bad batch??????? Ya think?????????
Jk, but once burned, twice shy. Ya know. And now I've found something I like better, so I'm happy.
I'm glad BT is working out for you though.
BTW, BT has a dye additive in it. That's why it's blue. Some people have said that they think it affected their engine. I don't know but now I look for fuel w/o additives that don't help performance.

So a 50% fuel for a heli is the same as a 20% car fuel if they're the same price?
Or a 30% car fuel is the same as a 20% car fuel if they're the same price?
Whatever...............

Soooo... this is all confusing because some people like different fuel than others it just deppends on where you live, what you like, and what you can get it for. So I'll stick with traxxas for now and switch later. One problem can you switch, if it is the same nitro content, or should you run all the same all the time?

lol skatngolf dude i dont think u realize what you are talking about
1. Fuel may be cheaper because of local shipping theres major fee's to sship fuel
2.Fuel may have different types ad amounts of fuel in them causing a slight fluxation in price
3.sometimes fuel can be cheaper because of age. some hobby shops as do meat markets mark the product down in order to get rid of it be sure and check the seal on the bottle
my pesonal prefrence of fuel is riches brew 25% its a consistent fuel that burns well and cost 13 bucks keeps my engine cool uses 16% caster oil.... JUST LIKE TRAXXAS o did i mention they make the traxxas fuel traxxas just adds a blue dye and cans it

I was speaking to my local hobby shop about performance and the guy told me that a properly tuned Revo with good fuel will perform really well. So I asked him about fuel and he said that Blue Thunder was the worst. He told me that it is cheaply made and has the biggest mark up. He also said that Top Fuel was not that good either but was ok. He said that Trinity was the best to use as it will perform well and allow you to keep the temperature down. He also races professionally but I don't know since everyone has their own opinion. I currently use Top Fuel but I guess next time I need fuel, I'll give Trinity a try since it costs the same.

For the question of which fuel to run I personally would not pic either of them. I would pick O'Donell or trinity ar atleast something along the lines of that.

As for the fuel is fuel is fuel.

All fuel's iare not the same. The person who posted that doesnt know what he's talking about at all. Any one who races will agree with me. There is so many different types of fuel and how they can be made that if I where to post all the possibility's that it would take several pages to do so. For one thing there is the grade of alcohol that is used. A 99.99% pure alcohol will work better then a lower grade of alcohol. The same with the nitro. Then after all that there is 2 different oil that can be used. Castor and synthetic oils, then there are the percentages of the mixture of oils. Thats why a company will never tell you the exact formula of the fuels. It has taken them million's of dollars to come up with there best fuels and there not just going to give it away to you or another company.

Did you ever try differnt fuel's. Not all fuels are the same. Try Blue Thunder and O'Donell racing fuel. Blue thunder being the 10% and the O'Donell fuel being the race blend being 30%. There will be a huge difference. Basically the person who said that doesnt know what he is talking about at all.

so im guessing that im the only one that dont like trinity fuel. i had bought 2 gallons of trinity fuel and in 5 different trucks all they do is overheat. i dont think its because of the tune bc i had tuned ithem and always after a few min run or just sitting theres smoke comming out of the heads. and i checked if gas was comming through the glow plug hole and its not on any of them. i dont know what it could be i also used some of my cousins o donell and both of mine didnt do it

Honestly, that will depend on what you want to do. If you intend to race or just want slightly faster speeds or want to run a tad cooler you can go with the 30% fuel. If all you do is bash and temps are not an issue the 20% is more than sufficient.
There are other issues to consider too. You will probably want to break-in the engine on a 20% fuel. You'll have to retune when going to the 30%. You may need to change the head shims and/or the glow plug when using the 30%. Many people report that once they use 30% the engine never runs right on 20% again. Most engine makers reccomend 20% fuel so it may affect your warranty.
I just bash and use 20% and it works well for me.
