Default Flew my Giant Stinger today.

I took my Giant Stinger with a Mac Minarelli 70cc Twin up for its first flight today. All I can say is WOW! It flies very, very well. The 70cc twin gives it unlimited vertical, and will hover with a little over half throttle. I'm not sure how heavy the plane is, but I certainly wasn't tring to keep it light although it still floats in very nicely.

Does anyone else use this same setup?

I fly the 60 size and its my favorite plane in my fleet. I can hover with a Saito 80 for power. It flies like pattern plane and floats in like a trainer.

Hey, I have the Mac Minarelli 70cc too and have been looking for a plane for it. I thought about the Stinger but just wasn't sure if the twin will fit the nose/cowl well. Plus the 84" wing won't fit my pickup bed in one piece. Still though, your friend's Stinger looks great, Robert.

Like I said in the PM, my mufflers are from J&A Engineering. You may also check with B&B Specialties. They may be able to custom make a set for you. Good luck.

Volfy, you can split the cowl, top and bottom, like I did. If the twin sticks out that will make it look even better. Go for it, you'll love it.
