RE: JBRL is coming to Milestone !!!!!
I was planning to go there, but then one person on rctech came back from the track and he was said that you will need things like extension cords (are there outlets?) shade, tables for pits, bascially the track has nothing but the actual track. Just what I heard. I might go though, suppose to meet someone there and still undecided on whether I race buggy or truggy. [&:]

Hey, I work for larry at the track. We have generators. And we will have them set out so you can use them. We have one outlet by the basketball court you can use. And we have Lots of tables. And theres trees over the tables for shade. We also have water so you can wash your cars off if you need to.

It's an MX park; they have more than enough room, it wouldn't be on the JBRL schedule otherwise. Any track out there is large in comparison to Hot Rod Hobbies, and they do just fine with hundreds of entrants.
Not many tracks have tables and electricity for everyone, but most people are self reliant anyways. Even I am very comfortable at the track with the stuff I can fit into my compact car. Bring a small generator. Bring an extension cord to borrow power from someone else. If you need to, just charge off the battery on your 1:1 car. It doesn't matter if the facility has power or not. What do you think people at rock crawling events do? Plug their chargers into trees?
Someone get pictures of the track. I want to see how it was put together for this race. "If you build it, they will come"

RE: JBRL is coming to Milestone !!!!!
I liked it. It was fun at the beginning of the day (practice) because the dirt was soo soft and loomy and smooth, but by the end of the it starting getting hardpack, almost grooving up, and rutted out. Some people left becasue they didnt like the track, I thought it was good. YThey need to get 4inch corrugated piping, ask around at Lowe's if they can order some 4inch corrugated piping, its $39 for 100 feet, and you will probably need about 600-1000 feet. Then you can make the jumps wider so they cover the whole lane.
The track was very techinal and rutted up by the mains so you had be be really slow to not get caught on a rut. The big double jump was pretty bad. Rob Jackson from Thunder Alley called that before it even started as a big problem that would arise. It wasn't built up enough and the landing needed to be longer. What happen to me twice was I was on the straight in the b main in the top 3 and this truggy didnt jump the double and landed on the straight and that hit me, i was on my lid for about 10 seconds. Then another one hit me, this time I was down for about 4 seconds. I was on the outside line near the landing, but twice? I could have bumped up.
The track was great on tires, unlike Racers heaven in Bakersfield. I did have a problem with generators and air compressors though, I was pitted with someone who had a generator but it kept flaming out , and I had to hook my charger up to the car battery.
Anyway, good but tiring weekend. How long will that track layout be in for and will it be in good condition or will it be like how it was at the end of the mains?
