Default Thunder Tiger Engine on Kyosho Kanai II

Dear friends,

I need your help; I've a Thunder Tiger Engine PRO-21BX-R(P)
and a Kyosho Inferno Kanai Edition II;
with the original special Engine mount of Kyosho I cannot mount the engine on the car; please may you tell me where I can buy the engine mount to resolve this problem?
Thank you from Italy

OK,

What it is the problem?
does the engine have a pull start?
does the engine hit the chassis from the bottom?

If you may give us more details, we can help you better

Take care,

Az

Ok,

What you need is to file the engine mount from the rear end where it touches the pull start housing, and then it will fit.

You should try to modify the engine not the mounts(if possible) because the K2 engine mounts are like 50 bucks. The engine your trying to put on the K2 is not really all that powerfull so why not drill out the engine mounting flange to fit the holes? Is that what the problem is? The K2 was not designed for a pull start, is that the problem? More information on why the engine wont work would give us all a better idea of what the problem might be.

I have a new MBX5 as does a mate of mine and we were going to both put the same engine in them from XTR's that we have. My friend has found the same problem which he tells me is that the engine mounting holes in the engine blocks are different for the Thunder Tiger than for other engines and the holes in the crankcase don't align.

I haven't got that far with the build but assume that the options are to (i) buy a new engine, (ii) try to drill and tap additional holes in the engine blocks to line up with the TT engine, (iii) get new engine blocks if they are available (blocks from a Thunder Tiger EB4?), or (iv) make new blocks.

Does anybody have any other information?

Thanks

I think that the best is: change the engine;
infact I've contacted TT in Italy, Germany, USA and Taiwan but I've not yet received a reply after a month!!!
I think that it's not a great behaviour for a world company
