Default XF631 and throttle response?

My ESC on my LMR glider goes from 0 to full throttle in about 1/4 of the throttle sticks overall travel and I can't seem to change this much. Am I missing something or do ESC's limit the response? I would ideally like the stick to be in the full up position for full throttle and the first 30% of its movement to be in the off position.

Most speed controls set themselves, or have a procedure for setting them which is generally listed in the manual. You may want to consult the manual for the speed control and see if there is a special procedure for setting the speed control, or contact the manufacturer to find out what is required to correct the speed controls set up.
