RE: Kangaroo & Canards
John,
I got mine from Paul Hopkins, but I think I got the last set he had. I believe that they are from the AD Rafale kit. You could probably get them directly from AD, and all the mounting hardware is from nose gear setups. I'll have mine at MidAtlantic jets if you're going to be there, you can take a look at the setup.

RE: Kangaroo & Canards
First flight with canards !!!!!!
Sunday the weather was PREFECT !!!!
After a few warm up flights on my Topcat, the Roo flew.!!!!
With the advantage of the canards verly little reflex was needed. This made the Aileron half of the elevons very sensitive. I reduced the rate and added 25% expo after landing. CG was about 4.5 inches forward of the 4.0 recomended. Tailweight was added since nose repair and canards & servo added.Very stable and axial rolls, great pitch control too. The canards had about 2 degrees of up incidence to the wing locator dowel pins. Landing was nearly a dissaster! I got to slow on downwind gear down and speed brake deployed. Turning base the Roo stalled and started to spin. My spotter called for POWER, I might have bent the left stick, nuetral on the control surfaces then left rudder-speed~brake up, stop that spin, then slowly up, up, up the Roo held a high alpha without stalling as the RAM 750 spooled up. Flying a high pattern, some flying skill, and a hugh bit of luck saved the Roo. The second approach was done with 50% speedbrake on downwind and a touch of power, once on final cut the power back some, 100% speedbrake and set her down. Once the mains were down cut the power to idle, the canard held the nose off off the tarmac untill she settled in smoothly. No Kanagroo Hop!!! 105 oz tank was nearly emptied in 9 minutes of air time the RAM 750 is a fuel thirsty turbine compared to my P-80. No new pix got taken of the Roo so I will post one of the Topcat taken today.

RE: Kangaroo & Canards
I am glad your first flight was a success!
As you experienced, the only thing too look out for is that the nose won't drop like does without the canards.
I am considering to sell mine to make space for the F-18 Hornet....[&o]
