Default Associated 8.0

Just left the associated site, the beast looks kinda interesting. Don't think I want one, but I would be interested to try one. What are your feelings?

I'm pretty curious. The .46 savage conversions have generally not gotten good reviews, but I'm still interested. Who knows? Could be stupidly fast, which is the way I like my truck...

well the .46 review never got good results cause it always had the old 46 motor the new gst 46 motor has been improved on and might be something else in a savage but why go .46 when u can go to the same size as the ae 8.0 http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi...=&part_id=2070

its the same motor, its made by thunder tiger, and thunder tiger owns ae so its both motors are the same just diff cooling heads.

----------------------------------------------------------

i was looking at the new mgt, and its got its nice new features as in all dig radio gear the new roto start, the same old all steel trannys, etc...

The new 8.0 is a bad ass truck. A full .5 cubic inches of big block grunt. This should be a sweet bashing truck with tons of torque for whatever your heart desires. [8D]

True, but a gallon of fuel wouldn't last you that long. That being said I think I kinda want one.

I can't wait for the magazines to review one.

I'd love to see a honest to goodness head to head bashing shootout between the MGT 8.0, GST 7.7, Savage X 4.6, T Maxx 3.3 and Losi Raminator. No magazine has the nads to do it though..................they don't want to irk the advertisers.[&:][8D]

The 1/8th Raminator was tested in the January 08 issue of RC Driver. They gave it a real good overall review. [8D]

Greetings Everyone !

I am planning to BUY my FIRST NITRO monster truck ! But i am looking between the SAVAGE X SS

4.6 VS MONSTER GT 8.0 !?!!!! I will use the truck in the wood, in the bmx track (no racing

at all) and tall grass... basically bashing ! I perfectly know the savage is VERY tough and

there are plenty of hobby shop that cary parts and also in the internet. But the new monster

GT HAS a .50 ENGINE !!! it has a good radio... and looks crazy. IS THIS A GOOD TRUCK ?! is

anyone have a review to show me, IS IT TOUGH LIKE THE SAVAGE or it s just a big engine but

the rest is not good... ? i did not want to go in the monster gt forum because everyone will

tell to go with the monster gt... but here that will be the savage... I AM LOOKING FOR NON

BIASED information from EXPERIENCED people... what about the transmission , diffs, quality,

IS IT HAS GOOD THEN HPI ?!, the parts are they easy to get ?!

I hope some experienced user will give me there non biased opinion because i will buy my

truck with the information you will provide me. In my area there is not alot of good palces

to ask people because the lhs will tell me to buy what they already have in stock or the one

that gives the most $$...

Thank you in advance for your help !

Dave from montreal

PS: i will buy from tower...

ALSO ANOTHER QUESTION VERY IMPORTANT, the performance of the savage x ss 4.6 vs the monster

gt , what it look like ? is the savage x ss 4.6 can still compete with this .50 engine ? i

fear that my savage x ss 4.6 will look sluggish against this .50 ?, what do you think ?!!!

Nobody here is experienced with the truck yet because it JUST came out. None of the magazines have even reviewed it yet either.
