RE: carb
I had that problem once. If you look inside the carb (based on s25). The slider has a groove cut into it. I'm not sure but I think it dictates the travel of the slider and has to be in a certain position for it to travel properly. Even when I eventually got it to travel in a straight line it still never recovered fully and would from time to time become stuck.

RE: carb
if you broke your linkage during a bash session..chances are you have bent the carb itself where it slides.
Happened to me on my collari 32.
Take the carb off and FORCE it open/closed...be sure you remove it from the engine 1st so no metal shavings fall into the mill.
It can work again, but your best off getting a new carb.

RE: carb
To be honest, the slider first locked up rocked solid and would not move at all. Then by chance I managed to move it quite easily into place and all seemed well until it started to play up again. I didn't want to take the risk of it locking up whilst I was driving the car so i went and bought a new carb instead.

RE: carb
Try calling HPI. They have been known to replace broken parts. If not, you're no worse off than you are now.
Also a carb off a Mach .26 will work great, it's actually a better carb, and it's usually only about 1/2 the price of a stock HPI carb.

RE: carb
They're not that different in price on e-bay. The Mach is a better carb though.

Still, I'd call HPI before I bought anything.
