Default DL-50 and DA-50?

I have been thinking about getting a 50cc size aerobatic plane.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the DA-50 and the DL-50 engines have the same bolt pattern.

I was thinking about getting an Aeroworks plane. I know that Aeroworks supplies templates for engine mounting for a variety of engines. I don't believe the DL-50 is one of them, but if the two engines have the same bolt pattern , then it would'nt matter.

BTW, I am also considering using a DL-50 because it is considerable cheaper(price-wise).

Thanks in advance

i am currently in the same market for a 50cc plane, i looked at the DA and DL but that new area51 has got the same power as a DA running a tuned pipe but it is running a stock muffler.

Its the same. A guy in the club runs a aeroworks Yak with the DL50. Like it. I run one in a GP yak. I buy mufflers spec'd to fit the DA for my DL.

I hear you about not owning a tach. I'm thinking the 58 is a turd and they're afraid to post the numbers.

There's a tiny bit of difference in the bolt pattern, but not enough to cause a problem....
