Air bubbles in the fuel lines?
Hi,
New car.
Finished braking it in and then maybe after tank 1 i start getting air bubbles in the fuel lines.
How does the air get there? it's pissing me off.
The car won't start if it's richer than 1&3/4 from 100% closed, is this normal?
Also i broke in the car, tuned it perfectly, and then those cheap lock allen screws on the throttle and brake bar are loose, and i can't tighten them.
My car is way out of tune now and i need new lock screws like that, what a headache
Thanks for the help!
Edit: Screw problem fixed.
I replaced the small piece of crap allen screw in the first pic with the 2nd pic. to the left you can see how it looks stock.

RE: Air bubbles in the fuel lines?
Psych,
Check this out. I put a piece of scrub pad in my tank, and it fixed the bubbles I was picking up in my fuel lines.

RE: Air bubbles in the fuel lines?
I can not promise what will or will not break down. But I have been using an acrylic aquarium scrub pad for almost a year with no damage noted. When I tested a couple of things, I noticed that the colored pads bled color into the fuel and faded when I soaked them for a couple days. All of the colored pads are dyed those colors as the plastics are all naturally white or yellowish. The acrylic pads seemed to have no dye in them which is why I chose them. It is possible that the color from the pads will not hurt the engine, but I did not want to take the chance.
