Default H9 Ultrastick Balance question

Assembling an Ultrastick and have gotten to the step of mounting the engine. I am using a Magnum .91FS. Before I drill the mount for this engine I am wondering if these ARF's tend to come out nose or tail heavy. I only have a quarter inch to play with according to the instructions, but I would hate to add weight for a balance that might be accomplished by merely moving the engine fore or aft that quarter inch.

Thanks!

Default H9 Ultrastick Balance question

I have the 60 size ultra Stick with a saito 100 and mounted the servos in the tail and moved the battery back to where the servos were suppose to be just to get it to balance. They come out nose heavy and I belive your 91FS will weigh more than my 100 does so you will be even more nose heavy than I was. Any other questions just ask.

Fubar, read the link's on this plane.
It is nose heavy.
I moved My receiver behind servo tray.
Installed 1400mi amp battery behind second bulkhead.
First motor was O S .60 FSR.
Second motor Tower .75.
Also plane is hard to see at times because of covering.
Put some trim on top or bottom will help.
Plane lands great.
Hozer.

I mounted the engine as per instructions. I used the exact same engine on the 60 us myself. Very nice. I would recomend the apc 15x4 wide blade prop. It is awesome. In order to balance i moved the elevator and rudder servo to the tail. Easy to do and it balances perfect. Check mine flying at: www.rcsites.net/psk560

hope this helps.

Default H9 Ultrastick Balance question

Thanks guys!
Told me what I needed to know. Already have the fin and stab installed but I figure I can still mount the servos in the tail and will do so. Sure to get snappier control response too.
Loved the short takeoff and landing video! I have a Tower Uproar with a .32SX OS engine that will do that same takeoff but not quite that landing since it doesnt have crow ability. Havent tried the flaperon bit yet.
Cant wait to get back out in the shop and back to work on my Ultrastick!
