hey guys this is my problem.. every time i start the car i hit the gas for a second then floor it but when i let go of the gas it stalls out. why is that. and does anyone know how to adjust the throttle and the idle or how much gas got to the engine.. and my dam pull start keeps getting stuck...kill me please.. thanks for any help..

how is it idling?? Low of high. Might want to adjust the air mixture. The next thing is how rich is it?? Might be that when you let go, not enough fuel being burned. Also, could be the low end. I can't be too specific without hearing it, someone else can prob help out more. Try to describe what its doing better. - Justin

i really can tell what it is but when i hit the gas and let go it must be that not enough fuel is going to the motor when i stop giving it gas but i noticed that it cuts of also when i am giving it gas...and now my pull start is messed up it stuck with string still out like if i was pulling it to hard, but its a new pull start

Did you check the glow plug? Perhaps, you need a new one. The idle could also be too low or the engine not running rich enough. Regarding the pull start, you may be pulling it out too far.

yeah, check the plug. I would turn out the high speed just a little bit and see how it reacts. Also, check the mixture (carb opening) while its idling.-Justin

i might need a new glow plug. but i still dont know how to adjust the idle and the mixture (carb opening)

Any carb. adjustments should be done with the electronics on Tx,Rx, set idle first than go to the H/S neddle than low end , mind you that the L/S controlls less than 1/8 of the throttle on your Tx. What are you using for a motor , what size? .15? RED

yes .15 stock motor that came with the car.

and i checked the glow plug and it was full of gas. need to get a new one

so i just finished rebuilding my pull start. and i realy know that i need a glow plug everytime i took off the startes for the glow plug the car would go dead sometimes it stood on but not for long and then i try to fix the idle and the carb.. but i suck at that. can anyone tell me how to adjust them from the close position?

Try this first get that glow plug heater charged up and throw a new plug in try a mc59or what ever the manufactor suggest. On the .15 set the h/s 3 turns out, low speed about 2 turns out, anyway try that to get you started, make sure that everthing is tight, no air leaks, RED

they say a #1705 glow plug or a os #8 glow plug

Okay then get the os 8 ,charge the heater , make sure that the batteries are in good shape , RED

just goto your hobby store and ask them to tune it for you. If your a first timer then they will prolly do it for free

s**t nothing is free in ny.. i'm gonna stop at a shop in the city like around 5:30 to pick up a new glow plug.. so you really think i should go with a os 8?

H/S = high speed, carbs generally have 2,3 adjustments L/S= low speed, and your idle setting. If the maker says OS8 than use it at least to get it started, RED

Okay lets start from the beganing turn the H/S needle CW until it stops .Next turn it CC 3 complete turns ,now that is 3 turns out, from there you well start to fine tune the motor providing that the motor has compression and fuel ,heat, spark , RED

so i went to the lhs last night after work. i got the os 8 glow plug. i took the car with me back to my job since i was off the clock, i took out the old glow plug and unflooded the motor clean it up and drop the os 8 plug in there try to start it up would not start so i just went ahead and primmed up the engine not to much but enough to get it started.. it turn on with now problem i let it run for like a minute. then i was like alright i will test run it later but when i went to shut it down the dam motor would not stop i held the muffler and the air filter the **** would not stop i had to stop it from the bottom .. is that normal...??

one more thing red.. how do i adjust my brakes it is really getting on my nerves that i cant get them to stop right. all the do right now is slow me down right before i crash and i dont like to crash..

send a pic of the brake system, linkage, disc you get the pic, Could be several things are you using the plastic brake adapter, if so I would highly suggest switching to the metal one for about 5bux, RED

yeah i think every thing was stock on this car i took it of my boy... but i will put the pic up on saturday i have to get my girls cam..lol..

but besides that i'm gonna let it run while i'm getting a cut tonight in brooklyn i will let you know what happens tomorrow.. thaNKS for all the help red..

Not a problem my friend, send the pic. Ill be back on tues. morning and I'll take a look, but mean time take a close look at the brake adapter make sure that it is in good condition and your linkages are set correctly, the screws are tight , do you buy chance have a refference manuel or parts manuel? that would also be a big help, but anyway try taking a few min. and look it over, RED
