Default Getting back into Touring cars

Heya folks, after a very long hiatus, I am returning to onroad racing. Have sold my helicopter and equipment and am now ready to get my car going.

So what's new on the scene? What is the most popular car being run? What is the best car to run? Suggestions on radio? What ESC would you suggest? What chargers?

Need to revamp my entire setup, so please send out advice.

Thanks

How long have u been out??
Right now, to me at least, it seems like Team Associated TC3s are extremely popular, with the Team Losi XXX-s right behind.
As for ESCs and radios, thats hard to say because everyone has their own choice and style.
A few questions that some may ask you when trying to answer your questions are;
are u racing or bashing?
are u planning to run nitro or electric?
and finally whats your budget??

When it comes to cars there are a bunch with different price ranges and set ups , so to keep it simple I would suggest a TC3 Kit and put your own motor in ,that depends on what kinda racing you plan on doing, Novak GT7 for a speed control tons of different options with it, GP 3300 cells for all the power you can handle, TC3 is a very easy car car to set up and race and with the extra add on's that I mentioned and good driving skills you should have no problem staying with or a head of the pack. Been out of cars for about 3yrs. Originally had the TC3, but didn't like it due to it's limited setup options and sold it for the Schumacher Axis-Pro and loved that car, MUCHO setup options and adjustability.

Price isn't an issue, no bashing intended, only racing.

Btw, how does the M8 stack up to the other radios? Seriously considering that one.

Far as what I used to run ESC wise was Tekin, but am sure they are no longer around.

Have the Nimh packs finally got the same power delivery as the Nicads? I remember when I was racing that the nimh packs were ok for runtime, but lacked the same punch as the nicads.

Has panasonic gotten their battery production cleaned up? Or are Sanyo cells still the packs to run?

Thanks
