Default Dragonfly tail motor problem (actually mixer speed controler problem)

I bought a new GWS dragonfly ( GW/HFD2F) a week ago. I live in Russia speak english very bad but i will try to explain my problem. I tried to fly on this helicopter for three times. I am a novice so i was just "jumping" from a floor for 4-5 cm for some seconds. So first two times everthing was ok. On the third time after about 7 minutes of such flying the motors stop working. They were very hot. I thought that it is an overheat. I disconnected the battery and waited until the motors became normal temperature. After that i connected a battery back and the tail motor started to work (i thinks on maximum) but the throrttle was at minimum. Everything is working and main motor is working well. I think that all the case is in mixer speed controler (in the part which does control the tail motor because the main motor works and controls ok). What you can recommend me? I went to a local shop where i bought this model but they don't have such mixer speed controler. Maybe where are same places in the internet where i can buy this thing? Or maybe I can find something here in Moscow just another model of speed controler which should work well with my helicopter? Or maybe it is not neccesary and I can fix it myself? I will be very pleased for any information from you. Thanks.

sir777,

The tail motors are very poor, so this would be my first guess. Can you connect a battery direct to the tail motor to test it?
If it is the Electronic Speed Controller / Mixer, some people have had FET's fail on the PCB - do a forum search.

Also check that the gear on the tail motor is not spinning. By some kind of miracle I am still on my first tail motor however I have lost 3 gears and broken the teeth off another... (really bad design from my point of view)

Just grab a battery with 2 wires and connect them up to the back of the small tail motor. If you hear it spinning then the motor is ok. If the tail rotor is spinning then put your finger in the way quickly to see if the motor stalls or if the tail rotor is just slipping. If it slips then pull the little gear off the motor shaft, add a little bit of glue and push it on again...

You know... i live in a tropical area where it's very hot... so far i've never had an overheat problem with my gws dragonfly.
Could it be that the setting of the mixer (gain and setup) has changed? You said you have full throttle of tail motor when throttle control is at minimum.... maybe u should play around with the setting of the mixer?

Do some trial and error and check out the differences in gain and setup changes that you've done.
Hope some of this helps.
