after run oil...clear something up for me?
well i bought some hobbico after run oil. here are the directions
====
1. open the throttle to 100%
2. install 3-4 drops into the carb venturi
3. flip the propeller several times to thoroughly coat the internal parts of the engine.
====
ok so i take of the filter and put in 4 drops and then spin the flywheel to mush it around?
i thought i was saposed to put some in the fuel tank?

Don't put it in the fuel tank
Just pull the plug and put a few drops in there
the turn the motor over with the flywheel a few times and put the plug back in
You could take the filter off every time but putting it in the cylinder is fine too

if your speaking of the fuel thats in your tank you can leave it in there for a few days other than that just turn your car upside down and dump it out(dont pour it back in your fuel bottle)
if you need to clean your tank inside after its empty spray a little motor cleaner in it and dump it out
you never need to add anything to your fuel
hope this helps

A few (a few! not half a gallon!!!) drops in an open carb -> to lube and protect (corrosion!) the crank and front bearing
A few in the glowplughole -> to lube and protect piston and sleeve
and if you know what you are doing:
Take of the backplate and put a few drops in the mainbearing and one on the conrod big-end bearing.
If you take the car running each day, it is not so important. if you wont run it for a longer period, this kind of maintenance will taker yer engine a long way...

actually the only things in an engine that can rust is the sleeve and the crank. so actually you just need oil on the sleeve and the crank. but i dunt kno a way to do that with out lubricating the pistin, but on the other hand some oil never hurt an engine

mygolf
a sleeve is the thing that the piston slides up and down in.
people
I have read on several occasions that a few drops of ARO in a full fuel tank can give just that little bit of extra lube to help lower engine temps... Any thoughts?
