G38 tuning help
I bought a second hand extra 260 with a g38 in it and I finally got it to run yesterday after a few issues. It idles fine and revs nicely up until half throttle, after half throttle it acts starved and dies. I am new to gas engines and have limited experience with glow engines. It would make sense that the high speed needle needs adjusting. Do i need to lean it out or richen it up??
Thanks,
Zach (the gas newbie!)

RE: G38 tuning help
That's probably all you need to do. The high speed needle is the one farthest away from the cylinder. About 1 1/2 turns is usually a good starting point.

RE: G38 tuning help
Seems like my old G38 only needed the HI-SPEED needle open about 1/4 turn. Some carbs was made like this so you could not lean them out too much????
