u guys know how they sell sheeets of carbon fiber?? how do u cut it.

you can guy carbon sheets from art's hobby. To cut it just use a carbide wheel on a dremel and cut carefully. Higher speed is generally better so you don't fray the fiber.

i dont plan on doing it just asking.

just insure that you use a breathing mask of some sort. If you breathe that dust in you will regret it later.

Yes, always do your carbon work in a well-ventilated area, and wear eye and respiratory protection. Yeah, you can make your own chassis out of the carbon, I'm in the process of building a custom chassis for a custom car right now. This thing should be cool...

Make sure that you have a really nice heatsink for that engine because the chassis helps aid in cooling, alot actually since there is so much airflow going under it. Also make sure its at least 3mm thick, and have some sort of upper deck that filts tightly onto it to keep it rigid.

i work in communications and we teminate fiber optics regularly so i know all about fiber saftey.

tell me more about this custom chassis. what kind of rig is it for?

Ahh, heh, hmmm. Not sure how much to say. I don't want to give it all away before I get it finished, and I'm also still making a prototype, it hasn't even been run yet, so I don't want to make any promises before its proven.

Basically, I'm re-arranging an NTC3 for something other than touring.
