How to remove fabric covering

I just purchased a Sig Spacewalker II and it is covered with fabric and I want to remove it and recover it. What is the best way to remove the painted fabric.

Use the peel it off & the sandpaper method . Going to be time consuming no matter what. Good luck ! MAX H.
