The scheme looks way better in these colours. I'm hearing so many great things about the UL at the moment, I might need to invest in a new set of wings for my original Lightning.

Lex,
Love the UL and didn't get to see the kit at Daves but form the pics you can see the quality is second to none. How long before it's done?

Hi Trev
fell in lucky. i was in the shop when the van pulled up, so we checked it over and loaded straight into the car, so only a couple of us saw it. The finish is super, im more than happy with the quality. Been polishing Fuz and wings in the hotel room as instructed by Dave, quite funny dragging 2 x big boxes through the hotel reception
With working away all week only gives me the weekends, hoping to have it ready before Easter so DW can test. I think it's the best colour scheme for me (Thomas Singer), i am realy pleased i waited that little bit extra

Definitely worth the wait
Even though it's a messy job, it's well worth the time to give the plane those few coats of polish before assembly. Great to bring the paint work up as well as a little protection.
It showed up at a great time - it meant I could get my hands on the cockpit tub for my one

Now the Euro is flying it's time for a new project ;-)
House full of teenagers tonight meant I could sneak into the workshop and start Lex's Canopy. Forgot what a straightforward job it is on a Lightning.

Biscuits for the tin on Monday then,Started the the stab, will need some servo arms, as the linkage has a 3mm pin, that in the end hole of the JR servo arm leaves hardly anything around it. then the next hole down is then too short to get the right throws.

Dave,
You will sooooo love flying the Ultra Lightning, you want one yourself!
In my opinion one of the best flying jets at the moment.
What engine are you gonna install in this baby?
I flew one with a P-160SX, that was great, now flying one with a AMT NL OLY and that is superb and suits the models the best!!! (or P-200)

Going with the G-Booster 160 as i have one sitting on the shelve, P160SX would be nice, but times are still hard at the minute maybe at later date.

RE: New Ultra Lightning UK
He has another model the xtreme jets Rafale yet to fly at moment.
He settled for Euro due to lightning price - ultimately he liked the Lighning better.
When the country picks up and currency sorts its self out I think he will have one.
He has all retracts for lightning etc has he has had one before not Ultra though.
He said its like the Flash but flies 100 times better because of wing loading.

If you gonna invest in a new engine later, go for a P-200SX or AMT OLY.
