CAD files for RC car parts
Anyone know where I can download CAD files in either DXF or DWG format of RC car parts?
I have a 3 axis CNC machine that I designed and built here are some pics:

I want to find some CAD parts already drawn in either DXF or DWG format to cut out on the machine. A lot of things out there for many areas where you can download free CAD drawings of parts but cannot find free downloads of RC car parts.
Anyone with some links to such sites would be appreciated.
Thanks -
SS

RE: CAD files for RC car parts
I personally do not know if those are publically given by the RC companies. The reason is illegal cloning and such. Gil Losi has described that many of the name brand RC compnies are losing so much to clones and such when he did an interview with XRC mag. I also take it he was strongly implying illegal cloning operations. He could also be reffering to the companies who are legally licensed are abusing those licenses to produce way too many parts and RCs that "flood" the market such that it hurts the oiginal comapany. (What I mean by "flood" is relative. The licsensed company could be making too many parts and RCs such that the original company's sales suffer.)

Make sense -
Just so many industries put their cad files as free downloads. Wish some RC CAD files would be put out the same ways. Been searching google and can't find anything.

A lot of other industries post files. Then you have hobbiests that also post files. In the RC industry you have neither. You don't even see them posted by hobbiest either.
In machining industries a lot of parts you still pay for even though they freely post the CAD files where some can be made by yourself but people still buy them. Still does explain why you don't even have hobbiests posting files.

RE: CAD files for RC car parts
An x-drive acount was made ages ago by an RCC member specifically for CAD stuff. Noone updates it anymore but it still has a TLT chassis, clod steering knuckles, clod axle tubes, the R2 tranny (without 2 speed or disconnect), an E-savage spool, a few random HPI, REVO, TLT, Clod, and Nylint parts, random hardware, clod gears, a Mamba Max, an hs-805, stealth tranny, a ton of T-MAXX parts, and a TXT-1 axle. I also have some TLT-1 axles modeled somewhere if you want those.

I found this site while I was working on a school project, prety sweet model and it worked great for my purposes, so I thought I would pass it along.
