If you ever get a chance watch the video of RC models named [link=http://www.sksvideo.com/ecom/sp/dbID=108]Laferte[/link] filmed in France. They have some planes that make our giant scale planes look like 40 size models!! Click on 'laferte' above to see more info. Here's some of the planes listed...
"there's a half scale 231 pound ME-109, a quarter scale Mirage, a half scale 15 foot Zlin 526, a half-scale ASK 27 sailplane with a 39 foot wingspan, a 243 pound JU-52, a 70 pound 16 foot Horten Flying Wing, etc"

I've seen that Zlin fly, flys slow and gracefully.
Search for that 36 foot wingspan B29, its the biggest model in the world built by a Belgian team.[sm=bananahead.gif]
They left out the flaps tho

If yoyu want to see biiiig models, there's really only one place that counts: La Ferte Alais in France.
Just south of Paris, they stage a flyinn the last weekend in June. This year's dates are June 26th-27th. That's a saturday/Sunday event, but do come in on Thursday night, to see the qualifying flights on Friday.
If your model is over 25 kilos/55 lbs, you will need to have the model inspected and testflown for the French aviation authorities.
As long as you get your model approved, there's no limit on size or weight.
Check out this website : [link=http://www.imaa-europe.com/ferte2004/index.htm]www.imaa-europe.com/ferte2004[/link]
Oh, and btw here's the Belgian B29 [link=http://www30.brinkster.com/flytob29/]www30.brinkster.com/flytob29/[/link]

Used to have a 1/4 B-25 with some images on the rcwarbirds.com am leaning toward another one, version 2.0 will have a lot of improvements, lots less weight and easier to manage.

RE: How big is big? that is the question
What I have heard is that there were no restrictions in Poland until now (I think that there were just model up to 125kg). There is such a strange law now that all modellers having models with weight of more than 5 kg must have all health(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)certificates. They can't have heart problems or be too fat. That is so stupid!!!!
