Default RE: HOW TO PREVENT STRIPPED RIMS

If you want to stay with the 14mm, my advice would be to get a set of RPM wheels and just run Maxx size tires. The 14mm hex is marginal for this truck in stock form and after adding a stronger engine, good clutch, and better tires.... You could make them live if you're careful, but who wants to be careful?

In response to your question, the best way to prevent stripped rims is to upgrade to 17mm or 23mm hexes.
