Installed rear wheel steering
Installed rear wheel steering on my max torque crawler today. Still waiting for my "Y" harness to come in though. I did hook it to the rx just to try it out. Going to be sweet. Take alook.

You should try a dig instead of the 4WS.
Digs will get the truck turned around in a much smaller area, but if you're just bashing around, 4WS definitely makes it more fun!

Not sure what a dig is.I don't compete,I just like building stuff and bash around my house. Waiting for a servo reverse module. I read I could take the servo apart and rewire but I found a reverser on ebay for $8 shipped so I thought I would give that a try first.

Well, you've got MOA, so it would be easy to install a dig, which basically disconnects power to the rear axle, locking it, while power is still going to the front tires. You can swing the front of a crawler with a dig. It's called a "burn turn." Burn turns are MUCHshorter than turning with 4WS. It lets the crawler pivot on a rear wheel.
Anyway, it's for comps, but since you have the option, thought I'd mention it.
I don't compete anymore, but I run what's called a disconnect, which disconnects the rear wheels, but doesn't lock them. I can't do burn turns with that set up, but it will turn much sharper than most, and will definitely turn sharper than a standard crawler without dig or 4WS.

Got it all hooked up and working. Pretty cool. need to upgrade the front servo now to match the rear. Still works ok but rear works better.

Thanks, I found a servo reverser module on ebay for $7.99 shipped so I bought it instead of taking the servo apart and resoldering it. Then plugged it into a "y" harness. Works awesome. I need to get a lipo for it, maybe that will help the servo's. I only got the stock nimh on it now.
