Altitude and carb mixture
Had the chance to run my car while on vacation at about 3700 feet. My hometown is 80 feet above sea-level. I really had to turn the needle to get it to run properly. Is that normal?

RE: Altitude and carb mixture
No, actually it was so RICH it was pathetic. The thinner air means less oxygen to burn, so the mixture becomes too rich. You have to lean the needles (less fuel) to compensate for the thinner air and less oxygen content in the air
