Does anyone know what size fuel tank, where the cg is, control throws and if a G-23 is a good engine for the Carl Goldberg Sukoi 73"?

I had the same kit and is probably one of the best kits to get into doing aerobatics,I had a YS 140 in mine and it had unlimited vertical don't know what the zenoah weighs in at but if it is comparible to the 140 go for it,I'm strictly gas now because of cost and reliability,YS 140 ate fuel.

I love my YS 120SC / CG Sukhoi. However if you are looking for GAS more likely will have to pay additional weight penalty. I don't know the ZDZ 140; however if I would built this kit again, having a gas engine in mind, I would test ZDZ.

This plane flys awsome because it is so light. I am not sure I would want to put a gas in it. If you do make sure you put the servos in the tail so you wont have to add lead to the tail.

A G23 will not give you the thrust you need. I would recommend one of the 40cc electronic ignition engines on the market today.

I agree, these aircraft wern't designed to fly with gas.not to say they won't because they will but do your research before you dive in

Default Keep it lite

Keep it light a Saito 180 or a YS 120/140.
No Gas!!!
I flew mine with a Y.S. 140 and it was a great plane.

I will agree to keep it light. I loved mine. If you want to go with gas, get a light 40cc engine (ZDZ), enlarge the rudder (tail weight) and you should have no problem. I had a YS120NC in mine and had to add 8 oz of nose weight. On cool days it would go vertical with authority but on hot days, the uplines were strong but not unlimited. Use a wood propeller and a CF spinner to further reduce nose weight. You will love how it flys!

Default Sukhoi

Go gas if that's your thinking. I've done the Q-35, US41 and the best of all was the Brison 2.4. Go for it. Tex.

I just flew my Goldberg Su-26 ARF for the first time yesterday. WOW!!!!! Stable, fast, responsive and an absolute thrill to fly!!!!!!

I set it up with a Webra 120 > modified with at OS FX carburetor and remote needle valve. Perfect for this airplane.

It will go exactly where you point it > and go wild if you have the courage.

On landing it tends to float a little - so it takes a little attention in getting it !QUOT!on the deck!!QUOT!

CG set at 5 2/16!QUOT!

This plane is right up there with the Extras and Edges!!!!

I don't think a gas engine would be wise on the plane. After seeing first hand what it looks like under the covering, & how weak a lot of the glue joints are, a gasser would shake it apart in a few flights. The best engines are 1.20 to 1.60 glo 2c or 4c. The fuselage on this bird is pretty fragile.

The airplane really is too small for gas. I had a Webra 1.20 on mine, and it performed great. I wouldn't consider a gas engine on anything below 80 inches in span. Scott
