Default MY NEW HURRICANE MONO

i've always been a sport boater. i got this mono 2nd hand just the other day. boat has like 2 runs on it. its came with speed master hardwear and a modded sikk and and CC steel pipe. the motor was modded by Butch T. which hes is rebuilding for me as we speak. the boat was built by Barry at Rc Gas Parts plus. and the previous owner it gpsed at 60mph in rough water/4inch stuff. from what i've read on the boat it one of the top mono hulls for heat racing. tell me what you thing.

Nice boat but anyone who claims 60mph in 4" chop is prone to exageration. Sure the boat could do 60 - but in perfect conditions

I'm going to run a mod 2716 20 or 7016 on my rebuild 45" mono, hopefully can get it running around mid 60's in the calm water. BTW, your mono looks very nice.

the boat came with a 6717/3 with a 430mod supposed to be the best all around heat race prop.. yea Butch T is a good modder of the sikk. this is the first sikk i've ever owned. i would have liked it be a Zen though. but i got the boat for a good price. and thats what motor the boat came with.

Good luck with it ,the only thing i worry about is when you mod a sikk they seem to get problems.

got the modded motor back from Butch T today. went to tighten the 90 water fitting and snapped it clean off. so i didn't get to test and tune but she fired up on the 2nd pull. i'am hopping she'll do 60 mph..

Looks nice, I hope it runs really good for you. I don't like that cut stringer though, mono's need those stringers for stiffness!

yea i bought the boat like that. the boat was built by Barry at gas parts plus like that. i asked the last owner why they cut the stringer and he said thats how Barry did it for weight displacement. its suposed to be the winning setup. whats good though is that its not cut all the way down to the bottom of the hull just like 1inch has been cut so the boat remains stiff through out that area. i'am also not to crazy about the sikk motor i'am a Zen guy but it was modded by one of the best sikk modders in the business. and heard his mod sikk's run strong and last a long time.

didn't you post on another site that you needed another fitting?you should give Sean O'Neil a call, last time i snapped off the fitting on top of the head on one of my sikk motors,he was ably to get me one in 3 days in my hand, called on Monday morning had the part Thursday.
those fitting are real easy to snap off.i have done it a couple of times, now i know not to over tighten them.i also think that the nitro guys used the 90 degree fitting on the tuned pipes to clear the cowling on the hydro's.that might be a good alternative.
you are going to love that sikk motor once you re/break it in.that boat of your should fly.good luck ,nice boat, great motor.wow did you do all the polishing of the hardware?if so thats some real bling, bling.lookin good...

Try Maston's marine, Zac at American RC and Brian at RocketcityRacing, all 3 are really good at getting parts out quick.
