When setting up a tank for smoke ,do you set it up just like your glow fuel tank,does it need a vent tube also?

Yes, it needs a vent. I usually set up a 3-line system so you have a way to fill it. Or, you can add a "T" between the tank and the pump for filling and cap it off with a fuel dot

I have never tried useing smoke. can anyone kindly point me in the right direction how to go a bout it. cheers.

Sullivan Makes a Very good conversion kit for fuel tanks , #478 HD Aluminum Assm.
the white for Glow , the Black for " Gas / Smoke / Diesel " ..
