Default Zanoah g26 problem

Zanoah G26 on H9 T-Craft. Bought new last Nov. Engine now has a knocking sound. Real distinct from idle to mid stick. Above mid-stick cant hear it. Any one ever had this problem? Plz advise.

Engines need a little slop(sounds better to call it "clearance") in the con rod to allow the piston to go past TDC without binding, but yours may have a little extra. Pulling the cylinder/head to take a look is easy enough.

ec121, thanks for your reply. When the engine was new, it ran real smooth. Now when it runs, the engine will shake every time you hear the knocking. Talked to Horizon, they said, send it back. I sure dont want to go thru all that mess.

Just do as Horizon suggests and save yourself a lot of headaches later on, as that's the main reason for having warranties.

Engines will "knock" if they are set too rich, try resetting both needles before you give up and send it back.

I see you are fairly new here. The three guys that told you to send it back are three very knowledgeable people on this site. I would head their sugesstion and sent it back before something catestrophic happens and costs you an airplane.

Try tightening the nut on the rotor at the rear....
