Tuned Pipe Pressure Fitting?
Got the tuned pipe and header from you guys and was wondering where to tap for the pressure line out of the tank.Should it go on the header or the tuned pipe?

RE: Tuned Pipe Pressure Fitting?
That's an easy one: Drill and tap the header flange and screw the fitting in there. Don't try to drill and tap the header pipe itself as it is thin and won't hold the fitting very long. Plus you get a more regulated pressure right from the header flange close to the engine.

RE: Tuned Pipe Pressure Fitting?
I ended up putting my pressure tap towards the junction of the header and pipe. I am finding out that this is not the best place for it too. I will go ahead and move it to the flange. When I snap the plane hard I starve the motor of fuel. My question is; did you guys cut the header down any with the sport pipe/OS 1.60 combination? If so, how long is it roughly from the glow plug to the end of the header? I have been running mine at full length until the 1.60 breaks in and then I'll take a look the RPM's and adjust the header. I fly at approximately 5700ft MSL and my total weight of my airplane is 13lbs. Right now with a APC 18x6w I'm getting 10320RPM on 15%. I could use more thrust for more comfortable hovering power. I am flying Chip Hyde's Tunnel Vision. It hovers at approx 3/4 throttle. The motor is still breaking in however. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE: Tuned Pipe Pressure Fitting?
Used the stock MACS header without cutting. Not sure if high altitudes would change taht decision or not. Probably a good question for MACs guys but my gut thinking is no. For the most part this is not a "tuned" pipe but a sport pipe so it should run well at a variety of rpm bands and not just the top end.
