3W 3D prop?
I think that's what it's called.. Anyways a guy came out and flew with us sunday with his 40% Carden CAP and 3W 150.. He had a huge CF on it and I think he said it was a 3W 3D prop. ANyone know where to find one of these things?

RE: 3W 3D prop?
I probably won't.. Just wanted to check it out. I'd never seen one before and forgot to ask a price. I'm getting either a 80 class or 100 class engine soon for my 34% .. May try one of those after a while

RE: 3W 3D prop?
I saw this one perform and it looked nuts. It seemed like it was 2 feet wide.
Only this is, hows the 11 pitch perform 3D... Most I see are 10.
Anybody know anything?

RE: 3W 3D prop?
The 3d prop is "the 3d prop" for a 3w 150/157. A DA 150 will pull it, but not with the same authority. Its awesome for 3D and IMAC, but can get loud, so have to control it. Been using this prop on and off for a while. In the smaller sizes, I have recently tried a fuchs freestyle prop, carbon, light, and just plain awesome. I like it better than a mejzlik, menz, etc. You can get them in quite a few sizes, 26x10, 27x10, 28x10, etc, all the common sizes.

Hey flyinrazrback,
It was LOUD! And we don't have a noise limit so it's fine. I like the sound but I think I caught a couple guys running for cover
Whats the fuchs? Never seen/heard of it.

RE: 3W 3D prop?
performs awesome. Its lighter than a mejzlik, spools up really fast. It looks a lot like a carbon menz to me. Great low speed pulling prop, but still pulls long and hard in the verticles. The nice thing about this prop, is even with it unloading a ton in the air, its pretty darn quiet, a lot more quiet than the mejzlik I was running. I also tried a 32x10 on a 3w 157 with the same kind of results, except it was loud due to turning lots of rpms, a 32x12 would have been a better choice for the 157.

RE: 3W 3D prop?
The 3W 3D prop is 31.5 x 14 x 8, Cactus lists it for $139.00. Note that this prop is multi-pitched; wider at the hub and tapers to the tip. Noise maker yes, wait until you here this thing spinning up at 6500 rpm its unreal. Needless to say this prop absorbs horsepower and requires a strong engine...

Yeah I checked it out at the site.. What are the others like?
I heard the prop on a 150 3W yesterday, and I can't imagine a prop anylouder.. It sounded like a full scale edge coming by about 2 ft from your head

For the 3W 80i would you use the Fuchs 26-10, or the 27-10. I like the looks of that one! I want a good 3D and IMAC prop, if it can be had.

RE: 3W 3D prop?
I would still go with a 26x10 on the new 80, nothing wrong with letting it turn up. Now if you are running a pipe, a 27x10, but thats just my guess on these new motors.
