Should I get it?
My neighbor is offering me a JR transmitter for $100. It's new in the box, never been opened (except by me to check it out). He got it for $200. I believe its a JR XS3 but I'm not 100% sure. I should get this shouldn't I? 
What kind of car will this go best with? How much am I looking at spending for the car and the engine (by engine I'm not implying a motor or nitro. I don't know but I'm think about nitro).

Hmmmmm, You can get them on ebay new for 125$ plus shipping. 100 is a good deal, it will be great if its a JR Racing XS3 Pro. Try if he will go down a bit. Similar units with the same features, especially synthesized easily goes over 100$. 100 is just fair.
You can use it on any car, truck, buggy, truggy, boats etc, that uses up to 3 channels.
