Extra 300 Midwing and 2 Seater for IMAC?
While searching the web to figure out the various versions of the Extra, I found out that in 1988 Walter Extra produced the Extra 300, which was a 2 seater with a midwing (like the 260). Anyone see a problem with using the fuselage from an Edge 540-T and a swept wing from an Extra to make an Extra 300? I would like to use it in Imac. I know there is no 10% rule this year, but do you think the plane would be legal when the 10% rule came back? If not, please tell me why.
I'm not confusing this plane with either the 300S or 300L, which are low wing planes, single seat and dual seat respectively.

The Extra 300 2 seater is produced by Carl Goldberg in kit version, and in the early 90s there were several different kits on the market for this plane. If you go to www.gsal.org and look under projects there is a 40% scratch built version of this plane.

I designed a 33% EDGE- and a friend wanted a 33% 300 Extra - I gave him the plans - - he changed the LE to a mild sweep - did some tail fin redo-s - presto - a 300-
Paint it like a 300- and call it a 300- it is plenty close enough.

Thanks DH:
I'll add this project to my list. About how much sweep would you suggest for a 105" span model? I'm looking for a better break on the spin entry. I don't want to screw up the other "good" characteristics of the plane. The plane needs less than 1% mixing for elevator and ailerons to fix the rudder coupling.
