Has anybody run one of these, yet, or seen any performance data?

Default Brison Revolution

I was at Brison Aircraft on Sunday picking up a new sensor for my 3.2. I got to see the new Revolution prototype. Looks real slick and seemed very lite. I haven't seen it run yet though.

Its not availble to the public yet, but I was told it would be soon.

I was at Brison about 1 month ago and i Saw his prototype RUN and i do mean RUN this thing is amazing. i was standing behind it and it almost blew me over. OK a little exaggeration but i can definitely say that this engine is going to be very comparable to any other brand name 50 cc Gasser out there.

I don't want to give out false info. But i believe he has someone test hopping the engine and should have feedback on it soon.

So they are still in the TESTING phase of this engine not in production? Sheesh!! I am not going to fault Gary for doing a top notch job but talk about PRESALE advertising! I've been seeing ads for months now.

They had the engine on display at Toledo last April?
Hope it's worth the wait.

I have a buddy who had one on order for his Brian Taylor Spit but he doesn't want to wait months for an engine. He's going to go with a ZDZ40

I'll try to wait it out and purchase one for my new top-flight 1/5 scale mustang.
Does anyone know if they will be at the WRAM SHOW.

Thanks, Gunny

Here is an email I got from Gary a week or so ago:
"Sam
I was turning a 22x10 standard 2 blade Zinger Friday at 6300 with great responce. The 4.2( which I will sell today only for the same price) swings the 22x10 at 7100
Gary Allison"
and here is an email I got from Gary a few weeks before that:
"Sam
Sorry for the delay in responding. The first two arrived yesterday and I shipped one out last night for a review in "Fly R/C" magazine. The mufflers at this point are being built to fit what ever the engines are going in. The engine going to the magazine was for a Top Flight P-51 and they wanted a 5-1/2 inch wide pitts style that had two tubes coming down. We want to make several different types and one that is just a header. I turned a 22x10 standard Zinger last night at 6100 which is down from the prototype by 200, but it ran smooth with no hesitation and hand started with a couple of flips. I can not predict when the next engines will arrive, but I know there are 30 in the pipeline and a hundred coming.
Gary Allison"

AH, progress....A G62 with electronic ignition costs $50 less and turns the same prop 700 rpm faster, and the same as the 4.2 ? Not as pretty and wider and heavier (4 1/2 lbs)...OR 70 ounces, sounds better, like the new Brison 100cc twin, 88 ounces, sounds better than 5 1/2 LBS..Ya gotta love advertising...
And my ignition is inside the mount and included in the weight...[8D]
And have been available for 16 years

Here is my first reply from Gary, on October 25, in response to an inquiry I made:

Sam
It really depends on the prop mfg. Zinger standard 20x10=7700-7800, 22x10=6700-6800 Zinger Pro prop 22x10=7200 What brand do youn like and I can tell which size prop. The muffler is 2", but we will be making some at 1-1/2".

To me, these numbers sounded very promising. Then the subsequent email figures made me rethink my decision to go with the Revolution 52. I have no doubt that Gary would not sell it if it were not a good engine which he had faith in. For me, the weight penalty of going with a 3W50i was worth it. I am looking for low end torque to spin big props, and the 3W50i is supposed to be the ticket for that. A plus is that the 3w50i is in stock, has a good history, and has an optional 1" extension which will let me hide a bit more of the engine.
