As Wizz Kid said... The ribbed pipes are mainly for a better low end punch as they have very little restriction..

It might have worked on the .25 engine, but on my .28 & .32 engines the lack of back-pressure severely robbed performance of these engines.
It is also extremely loud [:@]

I ran the ribbed on my Mach 28 and it had excellent performance, especially low and mid range...Have a look for yourself..

the ribbed works on some motors but not most racing .28 and .32s. my ribbed pipe is on my dad's Mach .28 right now.

I have one on my S25. I noticed more bottom end power and a lot more noise compared to the stock black plastic pipe. Soon, I will get a THS racing pipe. Hopefully, it will sound nice and "tuned".

It's a low end pipe so expect your low end power and response to improve. The pipe looks weird, but it does work and if you like your truck loud, it's the perfect pipe. I had one before I experimented with various pipes and finally settled on what I'm currently running.

My savages are running #1 Collari.32, #2 SH.28, #3 SH.28 pro-spec. I am currently running SH (golden lion) pipes on both SH engines with great over all performance, they're also quiet as well. In my Collari.32 I'm currently running the HPI tuned pipe (smooth), but will probably upgrade to either THS or Werks when funds allow. The ribbed piped starved both these engines if running open throttle, short on-off throttle was okay on the SH but the Collari just didn't like the pipe at all.

I did read that first....but you then also asked what engines were being used.
My reply was for the benefit of others who might be considering the ribbed pipe on something other than the S25 engine. I have 3 engines that tried this pipe, all with different results.
