Used t-maxx
I just purchased a used t-maxx and savage 25 from a friend. I am brand new to this hobby and have a few questions. I'll start by asking just this one, however.
1.) When I turn on the T-Maxx the servos start going crazy. What is this indicative of? Also, if i want to use another radio with this truck do I only have to switch out the frequency module?
Thanks<br type="_moz" />

You need to make sure the correct transmitter is turned on before turning the receiver on, if not then the servos can act up. As far as radio swapping goes, it's generally more complicated than just matching crystals. Certain receivers from certain brands will only talk to certain transmitters.

RE: Used t-maxx
as for the servos twitching did u turn on ur radio on first or the truck? u should always turn ur radio on then the truck, if u do it opposite sometimes the servos will twitch.....if uve done it the rite way radio on then truck ur batteries maybe low in ur radio, could be outside interference or maybe bad servos or receiver......ur gonna have to troubleshoot ur problem......first thing is to make sure ur wires from ur servos are plugged in tightly to ur receiver(re-check) if there is still a problem change batteries(re-check) if ur problem is still there change location to be sure ur not receiving outside interference(not likely this is ur problem but possible).......finally if the problem is still there u may need a new receiver or new servos........2nd part of ur question about changing frequency u will have to change the crystal in ur receiver and in ur radio........hope this helps!

RE: Used t-maxx
Thanks for the help!
I purchased two trucks (savage 25 and t-maxx 3.3) and they came with two radios so I assumed that switching the crystals would switch the radios from one truck to the other.
My first guess after reading the replies is that the truck batteries themselves are low and that is causing my problems. Although I haven't tested that theory yet, the truck hasn't been started in a year so low batts are likely.
Thanks again!<br type="_moz" />
