HELP!! Please PLIZZ:D from experienced PILOTS
Well I love the Hummingbird I just got it yesterday, busted one rotor blade and replaced both with the picolo blades.. They work!!
This is what I need help with:
#1-When the heli takes off it drifts to the right (nose facing me) so I apply left aileron to compensate also goes backward, I apply forward elevator to compensate. Is there a way to trim it so It will lift straight up?
#2-The flybar blades came lose so now Im confused is there one suppose to face up and one down or when the blade is on port side one is down the next one up? I wish I had a side picture of the flybar so I can see the normal setting. Also noticed you can move them and set the angle of them , How important roll do they play? what would the correct angle of attack be?
and could that be my drifting problem?
Thank You ...

First off, if you are just learning to fly, you should be flying with the tail facing you, and the nose away from you. This is called "tail in" and is the easiest way to fly. If you fly with the nose facing you "nose in", all the controls are reversed, and most people don't even attempt this until they can reliably hover tail in. A heli with a clockwise rotor will normally drift to the left on liftoff. This is because the tail rotor is generating thrust to the left. The HB has uneven landing skids, to try to compensate, but this only works if you lift off at a certain speed. I cut mine off level and just compensate with the controls like on any other heli.
As for the flybar paddles, they should be adjusted so that they are parallel to the ground, or really parallel to the swash plate. If you look down the flybar, at the end of one paddle, the shorter fatter leading edge should be on your left, and the longer thinner trailing edge should be on the right. Here is a good site that has a lot of info on setting up the Piccolo, which is quite like the HB.

V Good site, that one.
Remember, if you are having trouble tirmming it....
Take off, get a couple of feet off the ground (You can't trim it close to the ground because of the "ground effect"). Observe which way it tends to wander (consistently)
Land , trim a bit in the opposite direction. Repeat until happy.
It will never hove with no stick input for more than a second or so. It's too small and flighty.
Always check your flybar paddles after every crash, and twist them back to level if need be. If they are even a little bit out you will lose loads of lift and control.
