Default My New Piccolo and Pictures

I bought a Fun Piccolo last week. It took about 4 hours to completely build and test fly. I went with seperates since I was going to put a 010 in it soon. I first used the stock motor, but my 1020 LiPolys only hovered the heli for about 3 minute intervals before having to land and let the batteries rest.

Well I got pretty tired of that real soon, so I installed the Astro 010 14T. WOW!!! What a difference. I have at least 3 times the power of the stock setup and I can hover for close to 20 minutes straight on a 2-cell 1020 LiPoly battery. When I give full collective (I know, it's fixed pitch), it shoots off like a rocket. The GY 240 and the EDP DD motor keep the tail rock steady, even on these FAST vertical accelerations

My setup is:

GWS 4P receiver
2 GWS Pico BB servos
Astro 010 14T w/ 10T pinion and Phoenix 10 ESC
GWS EDP 50XC tail w/ 3x3 prop and Pixie 7P
Futaba GY 240 gyro.

Here's a pic

As you can see in the picture, it isn't quite a Fun Pic any more. Here's the extras:

Full Ball Berrings
Home Made Head Stiffener
GWS DD Tail
Titanuim main shaft
One way main gear
Shaft coller
Tough Landing gear
AF 010 14T motor
Home made tail feathers (2mm Coroplast)
Fury Canopy (painted it last night)
Swashplate Ball Mod

I'm really pleased how this heli flies now, although I want to get some CF blades in the future and possibly a CNC swash. I really didn't plan on making all these mods, but I can't seem to help it I think I've been bitten by the Micro bug.

This is my first Micro Heli. I have a Hawk IV glow heli, but this one is so much more fun since I can fly it around my house, even in my house.

Another pic.

Here's a picture under the canopy to show how I arranged everything. The battery is velcro mounted to the under side of the front shelf.
