Johno's "Latest" Gas Rigger
Here you go gents, some progress pictures of another Gas rigger I have been working on this week.
There are still a few more bits and pieces to do on her, but she is getting there and I think it doesn't look too bad.
This one is being donated as a raffle prize in support of the 35th AMPBA Nationals here in Australia during April.
Hope you like
Johno
Oh yeah, the good lookin' rooster in the background is my eldest Baden (nearly 4yrs(...................he's beginning to like his boats which is promising

Tom Moorehouse the designer (of the Firefighter) has done a fantastic job with the plans for the entire FF range. They all run exceptionally well
That said, the one you see in these pictures is not a Firefighter per se. This one has a few sponson profile changes (both front and rear), the tub is built to 5" internal spacing (to facilitate the use of std eng mounts etc) and the tub is a bit different in "certain places".
There are no gas rigger kits that I am aware of as such, most are sold as either 80% built through to Ready to Run. If you're on a budget and know how to build straight and true then the FF plans are a great option otherwise the price of a pre built rigger can sometimes be scary (especially for some of the larger name brands).
That said, building them is the easier part, getting them to run at their optimum performance level is a whole different ball game and can create some frustration at times (set ups and changes can be tricky from time to time).
