CARF Joker build thread + video
I collected two Joker kits at JP and although I don't really have time to build one atm I've started one a friend is having, doing the jobs he will make a mess of :-)
The canopy glass fit is easy, what you see here is the process and dry-No glue yet, fit in the frame.
The model has some nice detail, tank mount done for the round tank, removable radio/servo plate. Access is good.
Quality is great on this kit, amazing value

OK, I've built the tank too, so Mark is hopefully good to finish the rest, I have also test fitted the MacGregor 2607 servo we will use. 7kg 26g, metal geared, they are a perfect fit.
Tank. Dubro soldered barbs, M&R Hi Flow felt clunk, tygon tube clunk line. I put a few hundred ml of meths in the tank to flush out any dust. The felt clunk is assembled and a clean syringe is attached and rapidly drawn out to suck any loose debris inside the clunk from assembly. The tygon is retained at each end by a ring of tygon tube to clamp it down. The overflow pipe is extended with another piece of tygon, the top cut in a V so it can't seal on the top wall. Tubes on the tank bung are blasted clean inside with a shot of CA kicker (aerosol type)
Lastly the tank is pressurised with my mouth and sealed with a loop of tygon. This will be left overnight and the pipe pulled off to check there was still pressure. Done!

SM68. This one is for a customer, he will either use a P-60 or P-100Rx.
Bob...when everything else is done! Mephisto build needs finishing and I have a SM A-10 to build for a customer!!

I've already been asked these questions :-)
Balance I'd put at 180mm back with a small amount of fuel in the main tank Gear down.
Elevator 15mm up 16mm down. Ailerons 14mm up and 16mm down (expo on both 30%) Rudder max you can get which is 30-35mm I think.
Flaps 20mm take-off and as much as you can get landing. Down elevator needed 1mm take off and 3-4mm on landing.
Manual is coming

Set up is my experience with this aeroplane.
Yes, the gear would normally be installed, but these first 7 kits the gear did not arrive in time before the container left...plus I would take out to check screws and coat wood in resin...so I'm glad!

My Feedback: (30)
JF 100 on 5000 14s is over 16lbs of thrust installed and efflux in the 240 mph with 780kv HET and this is a smaller plane
Great candidate for EDF for me
