Hi there detroitdr!

I haven't been posting much too.. Though I have been doing AP using Helium Balloons and Conventional RC Helis [link=http://www.aircamasia.com]www.aircamasia.com[/link], I'm still keeping my SAVS for AP requirements that would require me to fly indoors or near people..

So what other units are you into right now?

Hi Clement7,

Well I took some of your advice and bought a 6' balloon, but found out that for shoots the Helium alone to fill was a K7 tank = $200+.... so I didn't like the idea of "wasting" that much cash per shoot... I'd rather have "hard" equipment paid for and then maintenance.

I'll include a picture when I get home of what I used recently and we'll see if you can figure out what I use...... I've tried quite a number of things... I'll discuss after the picture upload tonight.

Good to hear from you!

I've had some bids on my package but I havn't jumped at any yet. For those who bid, if you wish to bid once more... I'll then give to the highest bidder so it's done with!

Someone will get a great deal!

Cheers

$200?!?!

Wow that's too much! Here in the Philippines, the cost is just about $100 and I embed the cost to what I charge my clients. There are times I really prefer the helium balloon than using a nitro helicopter on some shoots due to safety reasons. I can go as high as my lines can go and I have no prob with gravity, no worries about frequency hits, engine flameouts or running out of batteries. But again, it's a case to case basis.. my decision tree still starts with the SAVS.. since it takes me about almost half an hour to check and setup the helium balloon and I need a support crew to make it work..

I hope you get a good offer!

Cheers!

Wow! Great job!! Nice angle, very clear and well composed shot!

Care to give me any clues on what you used (since I live outside continental U.S.A. I don't think you'll mind on sharing details of what you're using)?

If it's a secret, you can email me the details through [email protected]

Have you seen our sample aerial shots at the following URL?

Very nice still and OH come on! You can leave us "hanging", what are you flying now? Your flying too high, your shadow is out of the frame and I can't see you hanging on to a kite string. Lake ontario is clearly huge! If you angled turned another 15 degrees north I'll bet you could get the CN tower (or did they sell that too?).

Hey detroitdr
BUMMER....You have a GREAT looking system there. I sure wish I had seen it about a week ago BEFORE I bought my Draganflyer 3 setup.
Oh well, you snooze, you lose.
Good luck in your sale.
Regards
Bernd

Yes he did a nice packing job I now have a third addition in the hanger (well box in the corner), I was going to sell one of my DFVs but decided to modify it for special night flights. (I have two new 100000mcd white LEDS coming that will be attached to a microservo to act as search lights). I just can't seem to get enough LIGHTS. The other is a spare, same frequency and now this third that will be setup for the camera stills and that sort of experimentation. The thing is now when I crash i am up and flying that much faster to do it again....just kidding once you get the hang of flying the DF it is a nice thing.
