What's your budget... consider brushless revo or a savage flux... but from those two I think maxx is better at hard bashing

My budget is how ever much a summit cost but i need something  water proof but something that can handle all types of off road situations like grass, sand, dirt and rock hill climbs, water, snow, mud, etc. Erevo ground clearance is two low and savage flux isnt water proof. so please more suggestions.

in that case it's summit or maxx then... I would choose summit because of it's features... locking diffs, and hi lo gear ratios... perfect for all around bashing and climbing

Revo is far superior in design ,handling, bashing, racing, on road or off road.
Its faster that the TMaxx, handles better than all other remotes at the same scale, jumps better, lands better, will outright FLOG a TMaxx down a super rough track, vertical suspension just cannot compete with revos  leverage arm suspension.Revo is the better truck no question.
Revo is the winner of the last 7 national titles not Tmaxx. Those races are rough, theres jumps etc, its revo thats the leader, not just from the TMaxx, but aff all the brands, especially there buddies at HPI ! roflmfao !
Get a revo brushless and own EVERYTHING ! hahaha

So now im leaning toward the summit so if there are any more suggestions out there bring em on.
BTW: THE REVO AND TMAXX are nitro so those are out of the question but the erevo chassis that summit uses hase been proven to be the best where the emaxx has not been. But the summit is like 520 at my lhs.

Problem with the Summit is it controls like the bucketo crap it is........We see them at the track, l hope you dont want to keep up with Tmaxx's or Revo's or Flux's cause you aint gunna.
The summit ISNOT as strong. It is a cheap design, be careful.
A brushless E revo is 700ish bucks, plus 40$ postage, the difference is quite unbelieveable, the speed is alot better and control is, LOL!

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...FVSEARCH=erevo

l got mine here. Revo's are electric too ! 1/10th scale and 1/16th scale. Invest in the right machine to start with, you wont regret it, a summit could be regretable !

how is it cheap. It is based of the erevo and the erevo doesnt have the ground clearance and bottoms out on jumps plus brushless erevo is not waterproof so please read orignal post before you start putting stuff plus it cost to much.

Chances are that im going to never go race the summit or even take the summit to a track cause it aint made for that im not gonna race for a while i want a bashing truck under 550 that i can beat the piss out of and take it on any offroad terrain to do whatever i want. So my top two are the

ya...well I mean it really just depends on what you want to do...If your going over a bunch of stuff you might want the locking diffs and power and ride height of the summit...if your looking for speed go with the e-maxx...really up to you...both are great trucks..

the summit is to slow. i would even consider other brands before one for bashing, what kind of jumps does a e-revo bottom out on? ive got a revo platinum 3.3 with the excact same ground clearence, suspension & wheels as the e-revo (brushed & brushless). ive done some stupid jumps with the revo that a summit wouldent be able to do even with a rockett straped on it & i havent had any ground clearance problems so i dont think its really a issue. all so keep in mind u can adjust the e-revo suspension to mimick the summits.

for your bugdet i would get a brushless rustler thay are waterproof, but i know thay are not 4x4 but with the bashing preformance u wont regret it. it wont blow the budget for spare parts

Get the summit and then go check out Kershaw Designs, they have motor kits that allow it to still be waterproof and have more speed/power.

Yup I'm right with mazdaprotege4! I think that's the best way to go..The summit is better built than the E-maxx...

personally,id go with an E-revo,they tougher than the summit, are faster, and are generally more true bash-worthy.the summit is cool but remember, more moving parts (locking diffs, shifting tranny) equals more things to break.and either car will need to be dried off after a wet run so whats the point of the waterproof?...josh

I will just make it this simple....... There is no other 4wd MT on the market that can take the punishment that a Savage Flux can take.

t9dragon...
l will just make it this simple....... There is no other 4wd MT on the market that can take the punishment that a Savage Flux can take.

Your a joker mate, my flux has broken 5 diffs from jump landings because the whole front end flexxes to much in them, the front shafts that hold the suspension arms on FALL OUT they are designed crappy, you need to put a clip tie on the front bumper to keep it all together, what a joke.
The suspension is no match for the Erevo l bought to replace it !
The power plants pretty much the same.
But the chassis is a whole different ball game, my flux, meh FLIX is bent up the front where the plastic'ssupport is not bracing the alloy, my e revo isnt bent it does the same jumps...
While were on the FLIX subject, as much as l loved it, l got one before e revo, its no comparison to a revo at all, at high speed the FLIX will get HUGE rubber roll and become freakish to control where as the revo drives so straight you'd swear its on train tracks, and [ lol bad pun commin ] 'god' forbid you hit a large bump at high speed in that flix its gunna get redonkulas to control flip and the rest is mash mash mash, hit that bump in the revo and itis absorbed it and stays pretty much straight.
Also FLUX battery holders have holes in them for cooling, a HUGE dissadvantage for LIPO risking a rock or stick puncturing a cell, instant fire.
Revo has them built in on top of chassis, clever place for it really.A little more thought went into design basicly.
l like my flix, still, well sorta, its cost me too much, l regret that, was fun to drive, and l cant seem to sell it, but when someone claims them to be best, then an opinion is needed to explain why there not ! hahaha
l still love HPI but, my BAJA is awsome fun ! low tide on beach, sick fun. l saw a LIPO BRUSHLESS BAJA converted somewhere, wasnt it a beast. Anyone got a link to that ?

I want the gears and stuff to be covered and plus isnt brushless not water proof. If some one knows a way then I will tell my dad to get me the erevo brushless edition or savage flux or something simliar.Im just lookin for a good reliable 4WD MT that is great at jumping and just serious bashing but the 1/16 scale is to small and 1/5 scale cost tooo much.So after i goto ihobby i will have a better idea of what i want.

the erevo bottoms out like nobodys bussines the ervo is more of a racer you can turn into a basher but emaxx and summit can bash right put the box(espically emaxx cause it comes with batteries) so yeah .

I think the Stampede VXL would suit you then. Its fast, very easy to work on, tons of hop ups, brushless, waterproof and only $300 RTR. Everything you want minus 4WD. Can't have everything. Check out what these have done to theirs

http://www.beatyourtruck.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=60766

The flux is an awesome truck but it may be a bit more then you can swallow cost wise. Its almost $900-1000 to get a Flux all ready to run with Lipo's and good charger
