Cant Find Starter
Hello, I am in need of a new way to start my OS Max Rg-x 21 (13612) motor that is on my T-Maxx. I got a starter that uses a drill instead of the pull start, but it never worked and then the truck just sat for 10 years on a self. And none of the hobby shops near me have any sort of starter for this motor, and I can't seem to find one online. Any help on a site to buy them would be helpful.
And just in case you are wondering what's wrong with the current starter on the motor, it doesn't turn the motor over fast enough for it to even attempt to start. And yes I have tried different drills to make sure that it's not the speed of the drill. Taking the motor off and looking in exhaust port while using the drill and you can see the piston barely moves.

It sounds like the one way bearing is slipping. The one way bearing transfers the rotation of the starter to the crankshaft of the engine. If it slips the engine won't turn over as fast or at all.
Some drills spin a little slower than say a HPI rotostart or Losi spin start unit but should still be able to start the engine. If your engine is spinning slow while the drill is at full tilt replace the one way bearing. One way bearings are a maintenance item and may have gotten stuck from sitting. You can try soaking your current one in nitro fuel to see if it frees up but this is not a guaranteed fix.
