Default Need help with C.G.

I recently purchased a profile off ebay but it had no details to go with it. I have no clue where I should put the C.G. Another member told me I have a air-flair stick-muk(picture attached below). So, where should the C.G. be???

Also, what is the absolute minimum deflection I should have on the control surfaces? I have dual rates but I want to make sure its not too touchy for my first flight. Thanks.

Default RE: Need help with C.G.

A good way to start is to balance on the main spar. Another way is to measure the wing from leading edge to trailing edge. that divide that measurement by 3. Balance that far back from the leading edge. As for control throws, a goos way to start if the surfaces are over 2!QUOT! from hinge line to trailing edge is !QUOT!HIGH RATES!QUOT! 1!QUOT! up and down , Low rates 5/8!QUOT! up and down, and rudder as much as you can get on high rates and about 1/2 of that on low rates.

These may not be the best for the plane, but it will get you close. You will likely have to adjust from there, but the plane will tell you what it wants from there and I'm confident that you will develop a sweet spot with the throws and balance from there
