Default Byron Cessna 195

I flew the maiden flight of my Cessna 195 today. VERY nice flying plane with no bad habits what so ever. Powered by a Byron Mustang 50 which ran excellent by the way and which I kept at about 1/2 throttle most of the flight. The landing was uneventful and predictable. A little faster landing than a trainer but then the full scale C-195 was not a trainer was it?

Anyone else flying one of these?

Nice looking plane! You mean this is a Byron kit or engine? sorry if I appear confused but I have been off R/C for 12 years, pulled an unfinished Byron Ryan STA out of storage and now assembling it, now 12 years later its not as advanced as the latest ARFs, has foam wings that get dents just looking at them, I'm putting it together with my son who at nine years of age never knew I had it!

Default Byron both

Both the engine and the kit are Byron. Wouldn't the foam wings have to be sheeted with balsa on the Ryan kit?

Default Sheeted Wings

SOme of the older Byron kits had wings that were not suppose to be sheeted like the Cap 21. I think the early Mustang wings were not meant to be sheeted either.

That plane is a beauty. Iron Bay Models who bought out Byron is still offering it.

Default Iron Bay

Iron Bay is actually where I picked up the kit. I would go on and on about how well this plane flies but then you guys would want to buy it from me and there ain't no way I'm selling this one.
