Battery suggestions
My century swift came with a 4s1p battery. and i had a spare also. well one decided it wanted to take a crap so i had to dispose of it and im down to one.
Now ive read that i can go to as much as a 6s1p battery. my current batteries are 3300mah and last 5-7 minutes of nominal playing around.
ive got a few of the blue lipos sold from hobbypartz and they seem to be decent and are super cheap. im trying to decide on a 4s1p, 5s1p or a 6s1p they are only around 5 bucks more on each step up.
i only hover around the yard at the moment so nothing huge is needed. but the 4s1p seems kinda weak and i figure i could jump up a few volts to help this out.
any suggestions? as cheap as they are i may try one of each to test out, just wanted some input on this

WIthout changing the pinion on whatever motor you have and/or your transmitter ESC settings, you will find that you may get less flight time as you increase the number of cells as the rotor speed will increase also.
It is worth crunching the numbers to find what would be required.

Setting the relative throttle and pitch curves for maximizing the power in an electric heli, is very different to that of a nitro or gasoline powered heli.
The voltage fed to the motor and the setting in the ESC are the two items that determine the rotor speed, as long as there is no overload relative to the battery's C rating, or the motor or ESC's MAX amp rating. Only when overloaded will the rotor speed deteriorate.
Adding pitch will only cause an inappropriate amount of amperage draw in trying to maintain the KV/Volt rotor speed. If enough pitch is added, the amperage demand goes beyond what the pack can supply (C rating) or what the motor or ESC are rated for. This of course also causes a huge increase in heat inside the motors, ESC'a and batteries...not good for any of them.
