Default Engine/Smoke Recommendation for Phaeton 90

Balsa USA Recommends a .60-1.08 2-stroke or a .90-1.20 4-stroke.

I've used A super-tiger 3000 in the past and like the engine however you can't beat the sound of a 4-stroke on a bipe. I'm also considering a gas engine like the Quadra 35 for fuel economy.

Another consideration is that I'd like to install a smoke system. Which smokes better, a 4 stroke glow system or a gasser?
Thanks, Scott

We put a ST2500 in my dad's. Yanked out the Maloney 1.25. Flies great with a 18X6 Zinger. A good 90 to 120 would work, but this plane was built heavy so the extra weight to balance was a plus.
