it is very simple - i have the kit - which u build yourself and already comes with the 2 speed - just follow the directions - if u can tie ur shoes, then u can install the 2 speed. just pay VERY CLOSE attention when u install the set up screws, make sure you do it just like it says, otherwise u will have trouble shifting - congrats on getting the greatest touring car alive!

speed is revelant to the engine you have, and how you have it tuned. but a two-speed tranny will generally give u about an 8-12mph increase. keep in mind that the major benifit is acceleration, not top speed, as u can use a much lower gear to get out of the hole. top speed means almost nothing on the race track, its all about handleing, braking, and acceleration

u can get the 2 speed tranny just about anywhere. Check with your LHS first to support them, if they dont stock it, you can get it at www.towerhobbies.com and also at www.rc10.com

Default Elite Hobbies

you are correct wild gopher, that is the hobby shop i got it from. I bought both my ntc3 rtr and my nitro rustler 2.5 from them. Pretty good hobby shop, its only about 15-20 minutes from my work. Do you buy stuff from elite, wild gopher? Also where is the best place to take your street car to race? other than revrace.com, since I see you live in pomona.
