try to save up about 100 more and buy a real name brand truck like the monster gt. its worth every penny. i love mine its perfect for a beginner and is very user friendly. its probably one of the easiest trucks to work on and it can be upgraded if necessary.

If it were me and I only had $300 to spend I wouldn't be looking at this one, it looks really cheaply made and the radio is a joke besides the fact that I've never heard of the "brand". You have quite a few options at the $300 mark. I know you said you wanted a "Monster" truck but if you open yourself up to just a "truck" you'll have much more to choose from. With that said here are just a few within your price range, ALL of these are 10X the truck you were looking at. 1. XTM X-cellerator Nitro/1/10 stadium truck (only $199!) 2. Hotbodies Lightning/1/10 stadium (about $315) 3. OFNA Monster Pirate RTR/1/8 scale MONSTER truck (ONLY $320 HUGE bang for the buck on this one!!!) 4. Traxxas Stadium Maxx 1/8 truck (about $320) 5. Traxxas SportMaxx (basically a 2WD TMAXX) only $310 6. XTM Mammoth Stadium Truck/1/8 scale about $340 7. CEN Racing Magnum NX Nitro Monster Truck RTR 3.0 Nitro Engine, 2 Speed, 45 mph ($300 on the nose)

As you can see there's allot to choose from but in my educated opinion any of these would be better than that thing you were looking at. Save another $40-80 and you open yourself up to a whole different level of trucks.

Hope this helps.
Scott

yeah it's cool i pick it up tomarrow so i'll see how it is
btw is it hard to convert the 2.5r to a 3.3 (it comes with all the parts)
because the 2.5 has had 5quarts ran through it and the 3.3 has never been started
and is it worth it or should i sell the 3.3 and get some money back? if so howmuch is the 3.3 worth?

You could probably get around $100 or so for it, they go for approx. $150 new. I would keep it though, you will eventually want a new engine and will have to buy one anyway. Just run the heck out of the used one and then install the new one this way you can get used to the truck with a little less power and look forward to a power upgrade.
